About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA
What you will accomplish: Job Duties: Design, develop, and implement core, robust and scalable software applications, including cloud-based, internet-related tools. Participate in brainstorming sessions and supply ideas to eBay's technology, algorithms, and products that will improve software code services and system architecture. Work with the software product and design teams to analyze end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and deliver actionable designs. Estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and triage production issues. Perform full life-cycle software development and building solutions for the eBay payments domain. Research, design, develop, and test software solutions that are appropriate for business and technology strategies. Contribute to regular tasks like bug fixes, enhancing current code, and developing new software product features. Utilize experience with object-oriented programming concepts, design patterns, and software development life cycle phases, as well as with algorithms and data structures, such as a dynamic array, linked list, stack, queue, binary search, binary search tree, hash map, depth-first search, breadth-first search, and merge sort. Partial telecommuting permitted from within commutable distance.
What you will bring:Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
- Experience building AI based applications using AI and Machine Learning, Git, Java, and Spring boot (1 year).
- Experience designing and developing front end web applications using Javascript, React JS, NodeJS, Redux, and D3.js (1 year).
- Experience designing and developing backend systems using RDBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases (1 year).
- Experience designing Distributed systems for enterprise level scaling (1 year).
- Experience using AI tools like PyTorch or Tensorflow (1 year).
- Experience designing applications using Python (1 year).
- Experience in HTML & CSS.
Salary: $169,576-$229,600 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional DetailsBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
