I. Description of ServicesA state government agency requires the services of one (1)
Software Engineer 3 specializing in Applications/Software Development. The selected candidate must meet the general qualifications for this role and the detailed specifications outlined below.
All deliverables produced under this engagement will be considered
"work made for hire" and will remain the property of the agency. The engagement may include pre-selection requirements such as criminal background checks in accordance with applicable state laws. No fees will be paid for participation in interviews or the candidate selection process.
The Software Engineer 3 will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions by analyzing business requirements, consulting with stakeholders, and evaluating system workflows, data usage, and operational processes. Responsibilities include identifying problem areas and implementing solutions through system design, specification development, and programming.
This role is part of an
IT Administrative Applications Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team and will focus on building and maintaining automation and document intelligence solutions. The engineer will perform advanced development tasks including:
- Solution architecture and design
- RPA development and deployment
- Document ingestion, parsing, and analysis
- Search enablement and data structuring
- Infrastructure support and troubleshooting
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Continuous process improvement
The position emphasizes automation of complex business workflows and transformation of large, multi-hundred-page documents into structured, searchable, and actionable data assets.
Technologies may include:
- Blue Prism
- Microsoft Power Automate (Desktop and Cloud)
- Azure services
- PDF/document processing frameworks
- API integrations and database systems
Work will be conducted in a fast-paced
Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).Preferred Certifications:- Blue Prism Certification
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Certification
II. Candidate Skills and QualificationsMinimum Requirements:- 8+ years of hands-on experience in RPA development, including at least 4 years with Blue Prism (attended and unattended bots interacting with web applications)
- 8+ years of experience integrating RPA solutions with APIs and databases (RESTful services, SQL databases)
- 8+ years of experience generating reports and documents from structured and unstructured data
- 8+ years of experience building analytics solutions based on structured and unstructured datasets
Preferred Skills:- 4+ years of experience with Azure infrastructure and troubleshooting
- 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Automate (Desktop and Cloud Flows)
- 4+ years of proficiency in Java
- Experience with Power BI and SQL
- Experience with Azure AI / Cognitive Search
Certifications (Preferred):- Blue Prism Certification
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Certification
