In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and evolve full-stack services and customer experiences, including system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling for scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
- Implement high-quality frontend and backend code, ensuring maintainability, observability, and operational excellence across multiple services and domains.
- Collaborate with product, design, and partner engineering teams to translate business and customer requirements into robust technical solutions that can be reused across use cases.
- Own and improve the end-to-end lifecycle of services and features, including development, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident resolution.
- Apply data-driven approaches to prioritize work, validate hypotheses, and continuously optimize system performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
- 5+ years of professional experience building and operating production software services and full-stack applications (frontend and backend) within a team environment.
- Proven ownership of services or components, including responsibility for design, implementation, quality, deployment, and operational health within a product or domain area.
- Proficiency in core software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling, with experience applying these in real systems.
- Hands-on experience with modern web technologies, frameworks, and service architectures, and familiarity with using AI-driven tools or workflows to enhance developer productivity or product capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and evolving multi-service or multi-component architectures, including well-structured APIs, data models, and integration patterns across systems.
- Demonstrated track record driving technical improvements at scale, such as performance tuning, resilience hardening, or reliability engineering for high-traffic services and user interfaces.
- Strong focus on operational excellence, including instrumentation, observability, alerting, and participation in on-call or incident response to improve long-term service health.
- Ability to leverage experimentation, A/B testing, or analytics to make informed technical and product decisions and to validate the impact of delivered features.
- Experience integrating or extending AI/ML-enabled capabilities in applications or services, including responsible use of AI-driven components in full-stack solutions and guiding teams on effective, safe adoption of AI tooling.
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $146,000.00 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
