Key job responsibilities
Design and develop scalable backend and frontend systems that process billions of ad impressions and support millions of advertiser interactions
Own products end-to-end, from conception through deployment, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability across the customer experience
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and data specialists to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Solve complex technical challenges by breaking down ambiguous problems, evaluating trade-offs, and implementing pragmatic solutions that balance multiple competing interests
Contribute to continuous innovation by staying current with industry practices, proposing improvements to existing systems, and mentoring other engineers on your team
A day in the life
You'll focus on building and enhancing creative solutions that enable advertisers to succeed on Amazon's platform. Your work spans the full product lifecycle-from designing scalable systems to collaborating with cross-functional teams on implementation and optimization. You'll tackle ambiguous problems, balance competing priorities, and contribute to technical decisions that shape our advertising ecosystem. Whether you're architecting new features, reviewing code with teammates, or troubleshooting production systems, you'll see your contributions directly impact how businesses grow their sales and how customers discover products they love.

We are CreativeX, a newly formed organization within Amazon Advertising dedicated to democratizing access to high-quality creative assets. Our team collaborates across product, design, and engineering to build tools and platforms that empower advertisers of all sizes. We serve merchants, retail vendors, and brand owners who rely on our solutions to reach customers effectively. Together, we're focused on making creative development more accessible and efficient, and we're looking for collaborative problem-solvers who want to help us achieve this vision while growing alongside a dynamic, fast-moving team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
