Adobe's Reliability Engineering team is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help build and operate large-scale products like Adobe Document Cloud. Adobe Document Cloud is the complete solution for creating, editing, sharing, signing, and managing documents and PDFs across desktop, web, and mobile. What You'll Do
- Ensure the highest level of uptime and Quality of Service (QoS) to Adobe's customers through operational excellence
- Help with defining service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs) to represent and measure service quality
- Embed with product teams (physically and/or virtually) to develop tight-knit collaboration/partnership
- Identify areas to improve service resiliency through techniques such as performance/load testing, code review, and Chaos engineering
- Support and maintain globally distributed multi-cloud (public and/or private) environments including AWS and Azure
- Automate common, repeatable tasks at a large scale to reduce toil
- Apply AI/ML and generative-AI techniques to reliability engineering — anomaly detection, predictive alerting, automated root-cause analysis, and log/metric correlation — and build AI-enabled automation and agents that reduce toil and accelerate incident response
- Solve performance and stability issues using a wide variety of tools
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required
- Determine the root cause for all production level incidents and write corresponding high-quality RCA reports
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across teams; may serve as a technical lead on reliability initiatives
- Promote the DevOps/SRE mentality
What You Bring
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience; higher degree preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in SRE or related field
- Deep understanding of both software engineering and technical operations
- Expertise with container orchestration engines such as Kubernetes (EKS, AKS) and Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK)
- DevOps skills (scrum/Kanban/agile/ci-cd/12-factor)
- Experience in modern cloud-based, SaaS delivery technologies: Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, Jenkins, Git, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Linux, DNS, E-mail, containers, log analysis, monitoring, Java, Apache, Tomcat, Memcached, Qpid, and MySQL on Linux
- Programming skills, particularly with Python, Java, Ruby, various scripting languages
- AI/ML skills for modern SRE, including:
- Hands-on experience with AIOps — applying machine learning to observability, alerting, and automated remediation
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude and Claude Code, and building AI agents to automate runbooks, ChatOps, incident response, and other operational workflows
- Effective prompting techniques and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools
- Understanding of operating, observing, and scaling AI/ML workloads (including GPU infrastructure and model-serving/inference monitoring) in production
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic, Splunk, other logging solutions
- Familiar with a variety of cloud and automation concepts, practices, and procedures
- Must be able to support a FedRAMP Moderate environment; U.S. Citizenship or Green Card (Permanent Resident) required.
Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $139,000 - $257,550 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
