Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Software Developer with expertise in secure software engineering and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes. You will have a minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience with at least 2 years focused on security engineering and A&A processes. You should also have a bachelor's degree.
The team primarily develops in C# and .NET. Candidates with strong experience in Java or another object-oriented programming language are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should be able to become productive in C# within the first several months.
Required Skills- Develop secure applications, conduct security assessments, and support A&A efforts in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to safeguard customer assets.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and services.
- Develop readable, maintainable, and secure software.
- Troubleshoot application defects and production issues.
- Review code and contribute to technical design decisions.
- Work with customers and team members to clarify requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in planning, code reviews, testing, and software releases.
- Support and improve existing applications, including legacy systems.
- Complete security-relevant A&A tasks, such as risk assessments, vulnerability management, security control testing, and preparing authorization packages.
- Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Java, Kotlin, or C++.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and common software design patterns.
- Experience developing and supporting business or enterprise applications.
- Experience with source control, code reviews, testing, debugging, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Experience working with relational databases, web services, or application integrations.
- Ability to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and systems.
- Knowledge of A&A processes, including identifying and addressing security incidents and compliance issues.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Desired Skills- Experience with C# and .NET.
- Experience with PowerShell or another scripting language.
- Experience developing web APIs, Windows services, desktop applications, or web applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and IIS environments.
