Your role and responsibilities
Software Developer, IBM Corporation, Tucson, AZ (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted):
- Design and implement multi-region infrastructure solutions, using automation and best practices to enhance system reliability, scalability, security, and compliance.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our infrastructure orchestration.
- Lead the response to large-scale infrastructure incidents and projects, ensuring swift resolution and minimizing impact on service availability.
- Partner with cloud product teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide technical guidance, review architectural decisions, and lead technical discussions.
- Maintain platform tooling, develop custom Terraform modules for standardized infrastructure deployment, and create automated deployment pipelines for critical services.
- Build custom software solutions for managing the cloud infrastructure lifecycle.
- Perform root cause analysis for system incidents and implement permanent fixes for identified issues.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guides and technical implementation plans, define project scope and requirements.
- Design and implement database migration and disaster recovery solutions using knowledge on infrastructure architecture, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, software engineering and automation.
- Utilize: Go (Golang), Temporal.io, Terraform, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.
