We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and highly skilled and stellar software engineers to help build LLM-powered solutions for Amazon's BuyForMe product, which enables Amazon customers to discover and purchase products from any merchants.
This team develops agentic AI framework and capabilities that power a seamless, end-to-end shopping experience for Amazon customers. This is a fast paced, highly collaborative startup-like environment inside Amazon. To be successful you need to be flexible, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating with ambiguity. You are a true owner - you think backwards from the customer experience, are passionate about the potential customer impact and will operate at all levels. You will be able to create new innovative customer experiences from ideation to prototype to production, as well as shape the team roadmap with your innovations.
Key job responsibilities
We're looking for strong software engineers who are passionate about building delightful, high-impact agentic shopping experiences for customers. This is a multidisciplinary role focused on work across recommendation and personalization systems.
* You will be responsible for contributing to team by delivering code, helping set team's technical vision, architecture, and development practices.
* You will be responsible for delivering key customer facing capabilities, delivering high quality artifacts.
* You will be responsible for raising the bar for the team's culture and helping grow the talent on the team.
* You will work closely across product, science, and design job families to come up with new solutions for customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
