Department of Pediatrics Research is seeking a
Software/Data Professional III to support the design, development, and advancement of research data systems and analytics services.
This role helps researchers make better use of data by developing databases, reporting solutions, analytics tools, and data services that support reproducible, high-quality research. The successful candidate will collaborate with investigators, analysts, and technology professionals to create data-driven solutions that improve research productivity and scientific discovery.
What You'll Do- Consult with researchers on database design, reporting needs, data management, and analytics strategies
- Design and develop databases, data pipelines, reports, dashboards, and data services that support research initiatives
- Create complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, and reporting solutions
- Develop analytics tools, visualizations, dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reporting resources
- Apply data modeling, data mining, and analytical techniques to solve research challenges
- Collaborate with researchers, developers, and systems professionals on data-focused projects
- Provide project updates and technical guidance to principal investigators and stakeholders
- Develop documentation, coding standards, data dictionaries, and training materials
- Deliver workshops and training focused on database design, data management, and research reproducibility
What You'll Bring- Experience with SQL, database development, and data processing pipelines
- Knowledge of analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, SAS, or similar platforms
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to research and non-technical audiences
- Experience creating documentation, training materials, and technical standards

Minimum Requirements- Master's degree
- 1 year of related experience
