Job Description:
Job Summary

Responsible for leading implementation, workflow optimization, and system development life cycle activities for specialized domains within the electronic health record. Oversees team performance, manages project progress, and ensures integration with organizational operations and regulatory standards. Provides informatics leadership, develops evaluation frameworks, and recommends best practices to enhance quality, population health, and clinical decision support. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, build, and activate effective solutions that support enterprise strategies. Ensures compliance, drives continuous improvement, and supports cost-effective initiatives.

Essential Functions
• Serves as primary contact and liaison for vendors, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
• Oversees application and system configuration, testing, and quality assurance to meet business and regulatory needs.
• Leads, mentors, and develops staff through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Manages project plans, task lists, and documentation to ensure timely completion of deliverables and milestones.
• Promotes teamwork, communication, and a culture of continuous service improvement.
• Resolves customer incidents, requests, and complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Implements and monitors key performance indicators, capacity, and demand management for optimal system performance.
• This role includes direct supervisory responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement

Bachelor's degree in computer science, health informatics, or a related field

Experience Requirement

4-5 years of related/progressive experience in computer science, health informatics, or a relevant area

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
