Job Description:

This Engineering Manager position is within our Cat Technology - Solution Integration & Validation organization. The position will be responsible for managing our CI Autonomy SI&V team, as well as leading development of our next generation of AI-enabled validation tooling teams. What You Will Do:
  • Manage and lead the growth of the CI Autonomy SI&V engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on organizational goals achievement, professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and continuously improving product and process performance, quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.
  • Providing leadership to create and maintain processes used to ensure quality from all office and onboard delivery teams.
  • Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum.


What You Have:

Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

  • Develops, refines, and communicates tactical plans for own responsibilities.

  • Demonstrates the value and necessity of linking tactical plans to overall strategic plan.
  • Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of existing departmental-level plans.

Experience and Education Requirement: Bachelor's in Engineering Degree

Consideration for Top Candidates:
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams for both project management and people management
  • Experience leading development, testing, and/or integration teams for product development projects
  • Experience with NVDIA preferred
  • Strategic Planning experience in an enterprise environment
  • Prior experience leading SI&V team's preferred
  • Experience in Construction, Mining, or Automotive preferred


Additional Information:
  • This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Irving, TX office
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

  • This position will require up to 25% travel; heavier travel in the first year and then should be 10%

Summary Pay Range:

$159,120.00 - $238,680.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
