Senior Workday Core HCM Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Workday Core HCM Consultant to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to HR and business stakeholders, leveraging deep expertise in Workday Core HCM and HR operations to drive global HR transformation, process standardization, and system excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for solution architecture, configuration, security, reporting, testing, data conversion, release management, and production support, ensuring scalable, efficient, and best-practice Workday solutions that enhance workforce management and employee experience across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Core HCM Solution Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end implementation, enhancement, and optimization of Workday Core HCM solutions.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements gathering workshops, and fit-gap analyses with business stakeholders.
  • Design, configure, and maintain Workday Core HCM business processes and organizational structures.
  • Drive global HR transformation initiatives and support the standardization of HR processes across regions.
  • Configure and support core Workday HCM components, including:
    • Supervisory Organizations
    • Job Profiles and Job Families
    • Positions and Position Management
    • Worker Lifecycle Events
    • Hire, Transfer, Promotion, and Termination processes
    • Organizational Change processes
    • Employee and Manager Self-Service functionality
  • Provide strategic recommendations on Workday best practices and solution design.


Security & Compliance
  • Configure and maintain role-based and business process security policies.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational governance standards, audit requirements, and data privacy regulations.
  • Support security audits, access reviews, and risk mitigation activities.


Reporting & Analytics
  • Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics solutions.
  • Deliver actionable workforce insights and operational reporting to HR leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Create and support Advanced, Matrix, Composite Reports, and Discovery Boards.


Testing & Release Management
  • Lead system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and deployment activities.
  • Evaluate Workday biannual releases and recommend adoption of new features and functionality.
  • Support post-production stabilization efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.


Stakeholder Partnership
  • Collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, IT, and business leaders to deliver effective solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing strategic guidance and Workday best-practice recommendations.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the successful delivery of projects and operational support activities.


Required Qualifications
  • Workday HCM Certification required.
  • 10+ years of experience in Workday Core HCM, HR technology, HRIS, or HCM consulting environments.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering multiple end-to-end Workday implementations and post-production enhancements.
  • Extensive experience supporting global HR organizations and large-scale enterprise deployments.
  • Strong expertise in Workday Core HCM configuration, business processes, security, and reporting.
  • Experience with workforce analytics, organizational design, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, global, and cross-functional environments.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting global HR transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of Workday integrations, data conversion, and downstream HR systems.
  • Experience with additional Workday modules such as Recruiting, Talent Management, Compensation, Payroll, or Absence Management.
  • Consulting experience within a professional services or large enterprise environment.

Pay Transparency

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $102,026-$188,938. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
