Description & Requirements

The Senior UI - UX Architect will serve as the creative and strategic lead for the Firm's next generation of AI-driven digital experiences, with a specific focus on the unique challenges of Agentic Applications.

The role-holder will define a modern look and feel that transforms complex, autonomous back-end processes into intuitive, trust-based user interfaces, prioritizing user adoption, transparency, and seamless human-AI collaboration.

By bridging the gap between sophisticated AI reasoning and human-centric design, the individual will ensure the Firm's AI tools feel like "smart collaborators" rather than opaque "black boxes".

Main responsibilities:

Strategic Design and AI Enablement:
  • Architect Agentic Interfaces: Design user interface patterns for agentic workflows, including planning and task decomposition visibility and reflection loops that explain how and why an agent reached a decision
  • Generative UI (GenUI) Leadership: Lead the use of dynamic UI components that adapt in real-time based on AI outputs, moving beyond static screens to context-aware, co-created interfaces
  • Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) Orchestration: Develop shared control patterns that enable users to validate, intervene in, or override autonomous actions in high-risk legal and professional workflows
  • User Adoption Strategy: Drive user adoption by reducing cognitive load through text-first interfaces and scannable, artificial intelligence-generated summaries that prioritize clarity

Modern Aesthetics and Operational Excellence:
  • Define "Modern Look & Feel": Establish and maintain a modern design language that reflects industry trends such as Glassmorphism, Neo-Brutalism, and Luminous Accents to create a tactile, depth-oriented experience that reflects cutting-edge technology
  • Motion as Feedback: Implement purposeful motion design and micro-interactions to provide clear feedback on artificial intelligence processing states
  • Design System Governance: Build and govern an AI-ready design system with reusable components that scale across globally distributed teams and multiple platforms

Governance, Risk, and Trust Calibration:
  • Explainability & Transparency: Embed explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) cues into the UI, using step-by-step reasoning trails and confidence levels to build user trust
  • Ethical AI Design: Partner with Risk and Compliance to ensure interfaces prevent over-reliance on AI by clearly communicating uncertainty and potential hallucinations
  • Accessibility & Inclusivity: Ensure all AI-driven components meet global accessibility standards (WCAG), making intelligent tools usable for all practitioners regardless of ability

Skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio of complex SaaS or enterprise applications
  • Experience in AI design patterns, including designing for ReAct, Reflection, and multi-agent systems
  • Proficient in React or Angular, enabling the ability to bridge the gap between design prototypes and production-ready code
  • Expert knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and emerging AI-powered design tools (for example, Galileo and v0.dev )
  • Experience designing for data-heavy, professional services environments, where precision, auditability, and accuracy are non-negotiable
  • Understanding of the sociotechnical dynamics of trust in AI, specifically how to align perceived system capabilities with actual performance

Location: Chicago, Barcelona, Madrid, Mexico City, or São Paulo

Reports to: Director, Technology Enablement
