The Senior Technology Leadership Professional plays a critical role within the IT Command Center, leading coordination efforts for enterprise technology deployments, major infrastructure changes, and key business initiatives such as AEP, New Plan Year, and other strategic go-lives. The role partners with business and technology stakeholders to manage command center activities, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, oversee issue and risk tracking, and provide clear communications to technical and executive audiences.
This position also supports the development and distribution of change notifications, responds to executive and privacy-related inquiries, and helps drive operational excellence across incident, change, and event management processes. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and facilitator who can navigate complex situations, balance competing priorities and stakeholder needs, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
The
Senior Technology Leadership Professional partners with business and technology teams to lead and support Command Centers, notify teams of upcoming changes, and assist with executive inquiries and privacy-related investigations. This role serves as a central point of coordination during major business initiatives, technology implementations, and high-impact events, helping ensure timely communication, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with associates at all levels of the organization, including senior technology and business leaders. The position offers a unique opportunity to combine technical acumen with strong communication and facilitation skills to understand, assess, and communicate the impact of technology on Humana's business operations, clinicians, and members. Success in this role requires the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable communications for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Command Centers supporting major business cycles, technology deployments, infrastructure changes, and other critical events.
- Develop and deliver communications before, during, and after Command Center activities to ensure stakeholders remain informed and aligned.
- Track issues, risks, dependencies, and action items while helping drive timely resolution and escalation when needed.
- Monitor Command Center operations and performance metrics, ensuring activities are executed efficiently and in accordance with established processes and controls.
- Partner with technology and business teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence.
- Support executive, customer, and privacy-related inquiries by gathering information, coordinating responses, and communicating findings clearly and professionally.

- 3+ years of experience supporting or leading IT operations, incident management, command center operations, major technology implementations, or related operational functions.
- Solid understanding of technology operations, communications, and operational processes.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional efforts and drive outcomes across technology, business, and vendor teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused communications.
- Experience facilitating meetings and discussions involving multiple stakeholders, including technology teams, business partners, and leadership.
- Ability to assess risks, identify impacts, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in fast-paced or ambiguous situations.
- Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Experience creating executive-level communications, status reports, presentations, or briefings.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in technology or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience leading or supporting operational command centers, major technology go-lives, business-critical events, or incident response activities.
- Experience within the healthcare industry, including an understanding of healthcare operations and business cycles.
- Experience supporting executive, customer, regulatory, or privacy-related inquiries and escalations.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL principles.
- Experience leading projects, process improvement initiatives, or operational transformation efforts.
- Experience developing metrics, dashboards, trend analyses, or executive reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and executive audiences.
- Experience working with external vendors and cross-functional enterprise teams.

Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$106,900 - $147,000 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
