About the Role

Canary is scaling quickly, and we need an experienced Senior Recruiter to own our hiring process from top to bottom. This isn't a role where you'll just be following a pre-set manual; you'll be expected to figure out what's working, fix what isn't, and lead the charge on finding our next 50+ hires.

We're looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience, specifically in the tech/SaaS space, who can handle full-cycle recruiting while helping us professionalize how we hire. You'll work closely with our leadership team, and since we're a meritocracy, your growth here will be tied directly to the quality of the team you help us build.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with hiring managers to define core competencies for open roles, draft precise job descriptions, and establish effective interview workflows.
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Execute the end-to-end hiring process, including sourcing, initial screening and interview management.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage qualified talent through LinkedIn, professional networks, and targeted outreach to maintain a healthy pipeline.
  • Candidate Experience: Serve as the main point of contact for all applicants, ensuring a consistent, professional, and transparent experience throughout the hiring journey.
  • Process Management: Ensure the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) remains accurate and up to date to provide leadership with clear visibility into the hiring funnel.
  • External Relations: Act as the primary liaison for recruitment agencies and search firms when supplemental support is required for specialized searches.
  • Data Reporting: Track and communicate key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire and source effectiveness, to help optimize the talent acquisition strategy.


Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $140,000 In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance-based bonus paid quarterly, with a target of $10,000 - $21,000 annually. This brings the total expected cash compensation range to $110,000 - $161,000.

Compensation is subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. Actual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's skill level, experience, and specific work location. This role may also include the opportunity to earn equity.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably within a fast-growing SaaS company.
  • Technical Sourcing: Experience recruiting for engineering, product, or other technical roles is a huge plus.
  • Operational Autonomy: Proven ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong professional communication skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates and provide consultative advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical Approach: Ability to use data to identify trends, address hiring bottlenecks, and improve overall recruitment efficiency.
  • Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift based on business needs.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.


$100,000 - $140,000 a year

About Canary Technologies

One Canada Square is a skyscraper in Canary Wharf, London. It was completed in 1991 and is the third tallest building in the United Kingdom at 770 feet above ground level containing 50 storeys. One Canada Square was designed by César Pelli with Adamson Associates and Frederick Gibberd Coombes. The building is clad with stainless steel. One of the predominant features of the building is the pyramid roof, which contains a flashing aircraft warning light, a rare feature for buildings in the United Kingdom. The distinctive pyramid pinnacle is 800 feet above sea level. One Canada Square is primarily used for offices, though there are some retail units on the lower ground floor. There is no observation floor. It is a prestigious location for offices and as of October 2017 was completely let. The building is recognised as a London landmark, and it has gained much attention through film, television, and other media as one of the tallest buildings in the United Kingdom.
