Key job responsibilities
- Own complex, cross-functional programs end-to-end - define the program mission, vision, and tenets; set objectives; create plans with clear, measurable success criteria; and drive engineering teams inside and outside your organization to deliver.
- Operate with deep technical judgment. Understand system architectures, dependencies, scaling factors, and boundary conditions. Question proposals, test assumptions, decouple dependencies, and ensure engineering teams are focused on the right solutions for the customer. Hold teams to a high standard for both solution design and engineering practices.
- Negotiate priorities and make crisp trade-offs - time vs. scope vs. cost, short-term needs vs. long-term architecture, feature velocity vs. operational excellence. Use data relentlessly to inform decisions and communicate progress.
- Drive alignment across product, engineering, and business stakeholders. Ensure business and technical needs stay synchronized. Provide context - past, current, and future - for technology choices. When confronted with discordant views, find the best path forward and influence others to follow it.
- Key contributor to critical success metric with specific high value external facing customers and associated opportunities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
