Job Responsibilities- Responsible for providing relationship management, project management, vendor management, and business and data analysis to support the firm's investment areas
- Support all technology and data needs for the investment management process
- Coordinate all technology-related projects, processes, and issues for an investment platform. Manage a variety of projects for specific investment team needs
- Leverage Factset, Bloomberg, Excel, and SQL to access and analyze instrument level security master and analytic data
- Work with the investment team to ensure that all analytic, risk, and performance data and tools are accurate and appropriate for the team's investment process
- Analyze account and instrument-level data to verify accuracy of attributes and analytics
- Provide training and expertise on all technology tools and reports; Review nightly data and calculation audit reports, analyzing any errors or exceptions, formulating resolutions, working with the appropriate technology staff to implement solutions, and testing to ensure that implemented solution has been completed
- Validate any new functionality enhancements to existing applications or newly created applications; Work with the data management group to identify and resolve any data discrepancies, identify new data requirements, and come up with data delivery solutions
- Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles
- Perform analysis and develop solutions for business problems; and develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
Qualifications & Education Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a Technical Consultant or related occupation performing development, business analysis, or data analysis in the investment industry or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience as a Technical Consultant or related occupation performing development, business analysis, or data analysis in the investment industry.
- Specific skills/other requirements - Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") developing factor-based risk models in Python
- DE calculating swap valuation models in MATLAB; DE querying Postgres and Oracle databases using SQL
- DE calculating security level returns based on duration, convexity, and change in yield using Excel.
- Telecommuting position: can be performed anywhere in the U.S.
Loomis Sayles is committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The salary range for this position is $146,806.00 - $180,000.00 USD. Your starting salary will be based on your experience, skills, qualifications and local benchmarking. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award, which is based on individual and company performance.
