Air Products has an immediate opening for a
Senior Tax Analyst at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week onsite at the Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, PA.
This role will support U.S. tax reporting, compliance, and analysis, with a strong focus on tax technology, process improvement, automation, and tax modeling initiatives. The Senior Tax Analyst will work closely with members of the Corporate Tax team to ensure accurate tax filings, strengthen compliance processes, and support strategic tax planning projects.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Prepare assigned portions of the U.S. income tax return, including Form 1120, Form 1065, Form 5471, Form 8858, Form 8865, related elections, and supporting schedules
• Prepare quarterly federal and state tax estimates accurately and in accordance with established deadlines
• Assist with the preparation, analysis, and review of the quarterly income tax provision
• Support senior tax planners in the development, analysis, and implementation of tax planning projects
• Support the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns by ensuring systems are properly configured and data is accurately imported, reconciled, and validated
• Collaborate with tax team members to automate workflows, improve data integrity, and enhance reporting capabilities within tax compliance platforms
• Provide support in response to U.S. tax audits, including gathering documentation and preparing analysis as needed
• Research U.S. federal and state tax issues and summarize findings to support compliance and planning activities
• Develop expertise in the Company’s financial systems and tax technology tools, including SAP, Corptax, Alteryx, and other data management applications
• Assist with international tax compliance tasks and special projects, as needed
Qualifications:
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles and U.S. federal and state tax principles
• Strong data management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and tax information
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment while managing competing priorities
• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and deliver accurate work under time-sensitive conditions
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with curiosity and a desire to continuously learn and improve processes
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across the tax and finance organization
• Experience using Corptax income tax compliance software is beneficial
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word; experience with SAP, Alteryx, or other tax/data tools is a plus
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required
• Master’s degree in Taxation preferred
• Five or more years of relevant experience in a large multinational corporate tax environment and/or a top-tier public accounting firm preferred
