Location: Houston, TX

Overview

We are looking for a hands on Senior Systems Architect to serve as the technical authority over our enterprise systems ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of ERP platform ownership, data engineering, and analytics and is central to how we scale our technology infrastructure across a growing, multi entity operation.

You will own the architectural integrity of our ERP platform and its integration with surrounding systems covering operations, finance, fleet, safety, and HR. Beyond ERP, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a modern data foundation including a cloud based data lake and Power BI reporting layer that gives leadership real time visibility into the business. This is a doer role: you will define standards and also execute on them directly.

What You'll Do

ERP & Systems Architecture

Serve as the primary technical owner of our ERP platform its configuration, data model, and integration with surrounding business systems

Translate business processes across operations, finance, fleet, safety, and HR into scalable ERP configurations and workflows

Define and enforce data governance standards within the ERP: naming conventions, master data practices, and data lifecycle policies

Provide architectural guidance during system implementations, upgrades, and configuration decisions

Data Lake & Integration

Support the buildout of a centralized data layer to consolidate data from ERP and connected operational systems

Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to move and transform data across enterprise platforms

Architect integrations between the ERP and third party platforms fleet, dispatch, HRIS, safety, vendors using REST APIs or middleware

Implement data quality monitoring and validation controls across pipelines

Power BI & Analytics

Support the enterprise Power BI environment and help develop reporting structures tied to operational KPIs

Partner with operations, finance, and leadership to ensure reporting reflects real world business workflows

Help establish a reliable, well documented data foundation for enterprise analytics

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands on experience in enterprise data architecture, ERP systems, or senior data engineering roles
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL/ELT tools SSIS, dbt, Talend, Informatica, or similar
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and data lake concepts Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience with Power BI or comparable enterprise BI tools
  • Experience designing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, or iPaaS middleware platforms
  • Comfortable working in multi-entity, multi-location business environments
  • Strong communicator able to translate technical architecture into plain business language for executive audiences


Nice to Have
  • Background in construction, heavy equipment, crane services, or other asset intensive industries
  • Familiarity with ERP data models in multi entity, multi site environments
  • Exposure to master data management, metadata management, or data lineage tools
  • Experience with event streaming or change data capture CDC patterns
