Job DescriptionMission Technologies has a current opening for a Senior Systems Administrator to help support our mission in Keyport, WA. The system administrator will be responsible for preparing reports and presentations as well as briefings and communications to the customer about system status or updates. To be successful in this role, you will bring excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills while having a patient and professional demeanor.
This role may have occasional travel as needed with addiontional traning as required and is onsite.
Essential Job Responsibilities- Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
- Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise
- Replacing and upgrading defective or outdated components when necessary
- Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely
- Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the networked computer system
- Providing technical support when requested
- Documenting any processes which employees need to follow to successfully work within our computing system
- Understanding of government Risk Management Framework standards • Relevant degree or diploma in Information systems or information technology.
- Microsoft MCSE certification or similar.
- Experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems.
- Familiarity with SQL and database operations.
- Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines.
- Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.
Minimum Qualifications10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
- Skilled and experienced in secure working environments (i.e., SCIFs)
- Skilled in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, accurately
- Skilled in Technical Analysis, Design/Re-Design, and Reporting
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving trouble calls
- Skilled in applying policy/procedures interpreting/Implementing technical requirements
- Skilled in presenting formal training presentations and briefings
TS/SCI clearance required Certification: MCSE, CompTia A+, CompTia Security+, CompTia Server+, and/or CompTia Network+ (or equivalent)
