Senior Supply Base Management Specialist

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for Senior Supply Base Management Specialist to join our team in Long Beach,CA. This role will be responsible to own their respective supplier(s) performance and recovery efforts. This will include relationship management, metrics and processes. You will manage customer critical part requests and communicate supplier recovery status and strategies to Senior Leadership.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Define, implement, and monitor performance metrics, KPIs, and processes to manage supplier performance, on-time delivery, quality, and recovery timelines.
  • Lead supplier recovery plans for customer-critical part escalations, ensuring timely corrective actions and follow-through.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with Procurement, Planning, Quality, Logistics, Engineering, and Operations to resolve supplier issues.
  • Prepare and present supplier recovery status, risks, and mitigation strategies to Senior Leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain situational awareness of supplier capacity constraints, lead-time risk, and other supply chain vulnerabilities; proactively mitigate impacts to operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, standardize processes, and share best practices across the team.
  • Manage SAP system updates regularly
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, program leadership, peers, and cross-functional leaders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by communicating and deploying enterprise best practices to improve communication, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyzes and prepares reports to measure key supplier and internal performance indicators.
  • Communicates strategic initiatives, projects or procurement activities.
  • Leads cross-functional process management activities.
  • Leads self-assessment and audit teams to identify and implement corrective action.
  • Lead efforts to mitigate risk and resolve issues to high-risk programs.
  • Experience with ERP system functionality with an emphasis on SAP4HANA.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities & a highly detail-oriented mindset.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management
  • 5+ years of experience managing projects that involve cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience with supplier recovery and supplier performance improvement
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • 5+ years of Project management experience


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5-10 years' experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management
  • 5-10 years of experience managing projects that involve cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree - Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study
  • Experience reporting status and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
  • Experience negotiating contracts or management supplier performance
  • Great communication skills, and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong team player and passion to execute projects with a focus on customer and value
  • Experience working in a distribution business environment
  • General knowledge of aerospace compliance and regulations
  • This position requires travel up to 10% of the time
