Job Description:

This position is for a Senior Supervisor of Operations Management within the Trucking & Material Distribution department. This position is responsible for supporting production operations related to materials and equipment. Candidates should be detail-oriented and driven individuals. This role plays a critical part in maintaining balanced production flow by ensuring materials and equipment are available in a timely manner to support Production (HDL & Mfg) and aircraft schedules. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position directly manages bargaining unit employees and supports multi-shift operations.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage bargaining unit and salaried employees in a team environment.
  • Balance workload across production areas to optimize efficiency and avoid delays in production.
  • Manage aircraft fuel levels but maintaing a balance of on-hand inventory in conjunction with aircraft flight schedules.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance for fuel quality management.
  • Manage a fleet of vehicles and support equipment that directly supports production efforts (motor vehicles, forklifts, cranes, fuel tankers, tow vehicles, and ground support equipment).
  • Monitor capacity and adjust work assignments to maintain timely material delivery in support to steady production flow.
  • Manage dispatch office to ensure requests are logged, prioritized and tracked through completion.
  • Collaborate with HDL, Mfg, Logistics, Depots and Customers to ensure alignment on priorities and schedule execution.
  • Communicate status, risks, and constraints clearly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance the overall distribution process.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in central dispatch operations (call center, dispatcher, etc).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in personnel / inventory management & performance management (metrics, cycle times, etc).

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience working with SAP or other MRP/ERP systems.
  • Previous experience in a production or production support environment, including aircraft support capabilities.
  • Strong hands-on background and knowledge of critical aircraft requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and levels of the organization.
  • Strong mechanical understanding of equipment and operation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on internal and external customer satisfaction.
