What you'll be doing

As a Senior Specialist, Tax Reporting Operations & Regulatory Initiatives, you will be responsible for ensuring that Tax Reporting delivers quality reporting to both the CRA and clients adhering to regulatory requirements with respect to deadlines and required data and forms.  You will also be responsible for ensuring that LOBs procedures and processes meet the regulatory requirements for FATCA/CRS Tax Residency collection and Reasonability checks.  You will represent Tax Reporting and Regulatory Initiatives on Projects and Change Initiatives impacting our reporting processes as a SME providing requirements, creating test cases and validating the changes. You will be accountable for handling complex, ambiguous, Reconciliation investigations relating to Tax Reporting CRA accounts. You will expedite resolution to the issues using independent judgement and analytical thinking to conduct in-depth research using multiple systems/reports to determine the nature of the problem, verify team members work and provide guidance. In addition, the role assists in the management of day-to-day operation and overall efficiency of Tax Reporting and also FATCA/CRS client remediation processes, while seeking opportunities to streamline current processes and procedures.

Able to navigate many varied systems and is technically savvy. Examples of systems used in this role: Corfax, Rbroker, TFP, IBTS, CRS, CORE, TaxStar, COINS, IPS, MyClient ADP, IFAST, ECIF etc.
  • Multi-Tasker - You are experienced with multi-tasking and working in fast-paced, often-changing environment. Experience working in a team where processes and procedures are changing and updating.
  • Client experience - You ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality service through service excellence principles to meet or exceed the expectations of internal business partners, and ultimately go above and beyond service standards in order to exceed the expectations of our clients.
