Job Description

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Fiduciary to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in Philadelphia, PA.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Administer and advise the Wealth Management team on fiduciary matters, including interpretation of governing trust documents and BNY Mellon's duties as trustee.
  • Coordinate the strategic plan for managing and growing existing client relationships, with a strong focus on risk management.
  • Meet regularly with clients, co-trustees, beneficiaries, internal partners, and external advisors to ensure BNY Mellon adheres to the highest fiduciary standards.
  • Assess, identify, and escalate or address risk-related issues while orchestrating administrative tasks with support from the Wealth Management team.
  • Support complex accounts as needed and, in some cases, manage estate settlements and charitable accounts requiring specialized knowledge.
  • Independently evaluate and pursue new business opportunities and client prospects to drive responsible, compliant, and profitable growth.
  • Serve in a consultative role to UHNW and HNW clients, helping them achieve short- and long-term objectives through the firm's solutions.
  • Generate new revenue through self-sourced inflows, increased flows, future fee opportunities, and referrals from clients and centers of influence.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, regulations, and assigned compliance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Mentor and train less experienced team members; may provide oversight of client services in some regions.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced or graduate degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in fiduciary administration, including fiduciary taxation and administrative support for client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of fiduciary practices, policies, procedures, estate settlements, and probate administration, as applicable to the role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to work directly with key client families and legal and tax advisors.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage client relationships, identify opportunities, and support organic growth goals.
  • CTFA or CFP preferred.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, compliance expectations, and client service in a fiduciary environment.
  • Ability to learn and apply internal policies and procedures to progress toward the Specialist role.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award.
