Job Title: Sr. Solutions Engineer
Location: New York, NY (In-office 4x per week "Grand Central")
Company: Kizen, www.kizen.com
About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic Sr. Solutions Engineer to join our growing team. This role will require strong pre-sales experience, along with strong technical implementation experience. In this customer-facing role, you will partner with customer technical teams to drive successful post-sale implementations. Reporting directly to the VP of Solutions (insurance & financial services), you will leverage your technical expertise in enterprise solutions to showcase Kizen's value, solve complex customer challenges, and deploy production ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities What You'll be Doing
- Owning the technical architecture of client solutions - reconciling competing business, technical, and data requirements into a single coherent design that's actually buildable on the platform
- Leading technical implementation end to end - spending the majority of your time hands-on in Kizen configuring, integrating, testing, and iterating, not just designing on paper
- Transforming client needs into powerful solutions using our low-code platform
- Configuring scalable solutions for clients within Kizen, executing their business requirements
- Guiding clients through the entire deployment journey, from kickoff to go-live
- Owning the solution post-go-live, troubleshooting issues, debugging integrations, and ensuring it runs reliably in the client's real environment
- Working with APIs, automation tools, and data pipelines to build seamless integrations between platforms
- Partnering directly with client development teams on integration design, data flow, and technical implementation
- Cleaning and transforming data to ensure every field lands in the right place, at the right time
- Building test plans and validating solutions against requirements before and after go-live
- Operating in ambiguity and uncovering undocumented requirements and unstated constraints that only surface during implementation
- Identifying solution gaps and translating them into clear, prioritized feedback for the product team
- Leading business discovery and translating complex requirements into clear, actionable technical documentation
- Delivering hands-on training to help clients unlock the full potential of Kizen
- Continuously identifying areas to improve processes using real-time data insights
- Tracking tasks, reporting progress, and proactively clearing blockers to keep things moving fast
- Comfortable occasionally supporting pre-sales scoping and technical conversations as an early team member
RequirementsMinimum Requirements - What You Bring
- 5+ years in SaaS implementation, solution delivery, solutions engineering or hands-on technical consulting
- Successful lead pre/sales activities with enterprise clients.
- Experience architecting data models and system integrations (APIs, ETL processes), particularly between systems like EMRs, CRMs, ERPs, etc.
- Hands-on experience with data transformation (Excel, Python, ETL/API work)
- Hands-on technology implementation skills (configuring, testing, iterating SaaS solutions)
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across integrations, data pipelines, and APIs
- Comfortable reading documentation and tracing data through unfamiliar systems to diagnose issues
- Demonstrated ability to write clear business and technical requirements
- Takes end-to-end ownership. You measure success by whether the client's solution works in production, not by whether the design was sound
- Able to operate independently and drive a deployment forward without a playbook or a team to lean on
- Solid understanding of business processes, operations, and workflow optimization
- Able to work credibly with both business stakeholders and technical/engineering teams, translating between them
- Fast learner able to quickly ramp into new industries and use cases with confidence and curiosity
- A knack for teaching others - whether it's running a training or creating killer documentation
- Proactive mindset: you don't wait for problems to come to you - you go find them (and fix them)
- Obsessive attention to detail - you take pride in precision
- A growth mindset: you're hungry to learn, adapt, and level up every single day
Ideal Candidate will have:
- Experience in regulated industries like healthcare, (insurance or financial services preferred)
- Successfully led enterprise engagement starting at pre/sales to driving successful implementation.
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to discuss architecture, APIs, and integration patterns fluently
- Fluent in SQL, Excel wizardry, or Python scripting. Prompt engineering experience is a plus
- Understanding of AI, ML, and automation concepts (we can teach this!)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern software development workflows
- A deep love for tech, data, and using both to drive better outcomes
