Full Job Description
Join our Digital Surgery team as a Senior Software Engineer | Cloud Applications & Medical Imaging and help build the cloud based platforms that enable surgeons to make more informed decisions and improve patient outcomes. This is an opportunity to combine modern cloud engineering, medical imaging, and 3D visualization technologies while working on innovative solutions that support preoperative planning. As a senior technical leader, you will influence architectural direction, mentor engineers, and drive the development of scalable healthcare software used across a global organization.

What will you be doing?
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud based software systems that support medical imaging, preoperative planning, and healthcare workflows
  • Lead the design and implementation of DICOM image processing, visualization, and 3D bone modeling solutions
  • Own the delivery of complex software subsystems and services from design through production deployment
  • Drive cloud architecture decisions that ensure security, reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance
  • Influence technical strategy across multiple initiatives and contribute to the evolution of our digital surgery platforms
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, design guidance, mentoring, and code reviews
  • Champion engineering excellence through automation, observability, quality improvements, and AI assisted development practices
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver integrated healthcare solutions that create meaningful impact for surgeons and patients


What will you need to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and building scalable cloud-based software systems
  • Strong expertise in Python, JavaScript, and React, with extensive experience developing REST APIs and microservices architectures
  • Experience designing, deploying, and operating solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud native architectures, service-oriented design, scalability, and performance optimization
  • Hands-on experience with DICOM data, medical imaging workflows, image visualization, and 3D processing frameworks such as VTK
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex software initiatives and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across teams
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills
