Senior Software Development Engineer - AWS Commercial Application Services (EC2) As a senior SDE, you'll work alongside leading builders, principal engineers, and business leaders to create new capabilities leveraging Agentic and Generative AI that provide enhanced experience for our customers, influence product strategy, define system architecture and technical roadmaps, spearhead best practices and be a leader in the design and delivery of new products that'll shape the future of the cloud. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team - Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs The base salary range for this position is listed below.
