Job Description

Within the Online Services group, the Crossroads team is looking for experienced programmers to contribute to the development, evolution, and stabilization of critical services used at scale across Ubisoft games.

We are seeking someone motivated to work on services with a significant legacy footprint and who enjoys tackling challenges related to restructuring, optimization, and continuous improvement in a complex distributed environment.

The successful candidate will help design robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions while actively contributing to improving the quality and resilience of existing systems.

You will work in an environment leveraging modern technologies and practices such as .NET Core, Docker, AWS, microservices architectures, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD, within a collaborative DevOps culture.

If you enjoy solving complex problems, improving high-impact existing systems, and working on large-scale critical services, this role is for you.

What you'll Do
  • Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, debugging, and support of online services.
  • Contribute to the stabilization and optimization of existing services.
  • Identify and address technical challenges related to performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in refactoring and modernization initiatives for systems with substantial legacy code and history.
  • Provide high-quality production support, including handling complex incidents and advanced-level troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with production teams and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service integration.
  • Estimate development efforts and contribute to project planning activities.
  • Assess the technical impacts and risks associated with proposed solutions.
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, including quality, security, observability, and DevOps processes.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices related to online services and monetization.
