Position Summary:The Senior Sales Tax Analyst supports the organization's sales and use tax function with a primary focus on compliance for the auto leasing business. This role plays a key part in the monthly collection, reporting, and remittance of sales tax, while helping to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across a multi-jurisdiction footprint. This role works with internal stakeholders, auto dealerships, vendors, and external auditors to resolve complex tax issues, support audits, and enhance compliance processes. This position also contributes to tax research, general ledger reconciliations, and the identification of tax savings and refund opportunities, requiring strong technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and sound judgment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Assist with the monthly compliance process of collecting, reporting, and remitting state, and local sales tax returns associated with auto leasing business.
- Assist with resolving tax issues with auto dealerships when originating leases.
- Develop and maintain an efficient process for sales & use tax compliance.
- Manage communication with external auditors and assist with managing the audits process.
- Research sales & use tax laws, regulations, and court cases.
- Assist with the identification, research, and implementation of tax savings/refund opportunities.
- Assist with the reconciliation of transaction tax general ledger accounts.
- Support and maintain the Indirect Tax email inbox.
- Validate exemption certificates from customers and supply exemptions certificates to vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:- Minimum three (3) years' experience in Sales Tax.
- Minimum three (3) years' tax audit and/or equivalent experience. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs.

Education:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Overtime required - as required on an as needed basis.
Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ.
Qualifications Preferred:- Experience within the financial services industry in either a Fortune 500 company or a national/ regional public accounting firm.
- Experience in captive auto leasing or leasing platforms/environment is strongly preferred
