How you'll make an impact in this roleCoordinate, collect, disseminate, and intervene in a manner that anticipates, prevents,
identifies, evaluates, and controls hazards.
- Maintain continuous survey readiness through compliance with regulations from various regulatory agencies.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining compliance of the Environment of Care (EOC) program, including fire, hazardous materials safety and security/waste/utilities/emergency management (EM). Maintain documentation of findings and improvements.
- Identify risks based on regulatory interpretation and other methods, and apply to policy creation.
- Monitor potential and actual environmental hazards. Participate in root and apparent cause analysis and recommends remedial and corrective action.
- Lead emergency coordination (EC) rounding activities, EC/EM related education, and EOC/EM Committee(s).
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certified Certification specializing in Health Safety preferred.
- Certification credentialed from the International Board for Certification of Safety Managers (BCHCM). Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
