About this role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Software Engineer to join our Scheduling Hybrid Network team. If you are passionate about quality, excited by automation, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-scale environment, this role is for you. This role is open to candidates based in Toronto, Montreal, or Ottawa.

As a Senior Quality Engineer within our Logistics domain, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of the systems that power our courier network. You will help build and evolve automated quality frameworks that support continuous delivery across a rapidly growing platform.

Your mission is to embed quality at every stage of the development lifecycle-working closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver robust, high-performing solutions. You will champion modern testing practices, drive quality metrics, and help shape the future of quality engineering within the organization.

In short, you'll combine your expertise in software testing and automation with a strong engineering mindset to deliver world-class quality at scale.

These are some of the key components to the position:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and tooling
  • Plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies across applications, APIs, and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to ensure high-quality releases
  • Define, track, and analyze quality metrics to continuously improve systems and processes
  • Drive best practices in test automation, CI/CD, and quality engineering
  • Perform exploratory and risk-based testing to uncover edge cases and improve resilience
  • Contribute to documentation of business rules, systems, and testing strategies
  • Work side-by-side with the development teams in assisting with bug investigation (reporting, reproduction, isolation) to ensure the team is achieving the planned milestones
  • Actively participating in the Agile software development cycle within a cross-functional team environment
  • Support and mentor team members, helping grow quality engineering as a discipline
What will you bring to the team?

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering
  • Strong experience with automated testing using JavaScript and/or Java is required
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Playwright, Appium, or similar frameworks is a must-have
  • Previous exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems is important
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with Kubernetes-based deployment platforms
  • Strong experience with event-driven architectures such as Apache Kafka, pub/sub systems, and asynchronous processing patterns
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs using tools such as RestAssured
  • Familiarity with load and performance testing (e.g., K6) is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of test automation design patterns and best practices
  • Experience working in Agile, fast-paced, continuous delivery environments
  • Comfortable working with Git-based version control systems
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with SQL and non-SQL databases (eg., MongoDB, DynamoDB) is required
  • Knowledge of Google BigQuery is a plus
  • Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)


AI & Modern Engineering Capabilities
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar is required
  • Experience integrating AI into testing workflows (e.g., test case generation, flaky test detection, intelligent assertions)
  • Understanding of prompt engineering and evaluation of AI-generated outputs in a software engineering context
  • Awareness of best practices for AI-driven testing, including reliability, reproducibility, and governance
