Position Description: We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer (with Playwright Experience) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong automation testing skills across various platforms, as well as strong technical problem-solving and excellent communication skills.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for React based web applications and back end services.
Design, create, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright (or Cypress with the ability to transition to Playwright).
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end to end testing across UI and API layers.
Validate complex, data heavy applications to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance.
Create and execute API tests to verify service functionality, business logic, and integrations.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify potential quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Continuously improve testing processes, automation coverage, and overall quality practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Experience testing both front end (React) and back end applications.
Hands on experience with Playwright or Cypress for test automation (Playwright preferred).
Strong understanding of UI and API testing methodologies.
Experience testing data heavy or data intensive applications.
Ability to design and execute automated and manual test cases.
Experience validating REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
This role can be performed anywhere within the US. EST time zone preferred.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $176,300.00.
