About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support complex client initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong project coordination skills, exceptional communication abilities, and proven experience managing schedules, tasks, and multiple workstreams simultaneously. This role requires a proactive professional who can effectively support project teams, maintain stakeholder engagement, and ensure successful project execution. The selected candidate must be located within the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (DMV) and be willing to work onsite at the client location multiple times per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, deliverables, and milestones across multiple workstreams.
  • Develop, maintain, and track project plans, schedules, action items, risks, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate communication among project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment and timely execution.
  • Monitor project progress and provide status updates, reports, and documentation.
  • Support project governance activities, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Identify and escalate project risks, issues, and resource constraints as appropriate.
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Assist with workload prioritization and coordination across competing initiatives.
  • Support change management efforts and adapt quickly to evolving project requirements and priorities.
  • Foster collaboration and maintain positive working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience supporting projects, programs, or operational initiatives.
  • Active Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, or equivalent) required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in task coordination, schedule management, team support, and project administration.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience coordinating activities among diverse stakeholder groups and project teams.
  • Must reside within the DMV area and be willing and able to commute to the client site multiple times per week.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting federal government or public sector clients.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Experience preparing executive-level briefings, reports, and project documentation.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
