ABOUT THE ROLEThe Senior Project Manager reports to the Project Director or Project Executive and leads day-to-day, on-site delivery from design through turnover and closeout. This role partners closely with the client, design team, construction team, and third-party consultants to execute the work effectively while maintaining alignment to budget, schedule, and quality expectations. We are seeking experienced industry professionals with prior sports venue development experience.
THE PROJECTThis role sits within Legends Global Owner's Representation, which provides project management services for major sports and entertainment venues and other complex public assembly facilities. Projects are fast-paced and stakeholder-rich, requiring strong coordination across owners, designers, builders, and specialty consultants on site.
WHAT YOU'LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)On-site project execution (design through closeout)- Monitor and manage day-to-day progress of the design team, construction team, and third-party consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support maintenance of current project files and assist with preparation of monthly reports and reporting to the owner.
- Lead turnover to the client and drive closeout of assigned project contracts and accounts.
Budget, schedule, and procurement management - Assemble reliable project budgets, provide regular updates, and monitor adherence by all parties.
- Assemble and monitor adherence to the agreed project schedule; advise recovery measures as required.
- Prepare RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage procurement of necessary contractors, consultants, and vendors.
Quality, compliance, and financial administration - Review construction documents to confirm alignment with the clients requests.
- Report on quality of the work and manage resolution of non-compliance items.
- Manage design and construction budgets, including supporting the value engineering process.
- Coordinate invoices and payment applications with accounting; assist with permits, inspections, and approvals.
- Review change orders and added service requests for approval.
WHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)- Bachelor's degree preferred in Project Management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Building Construction, Engineering, or Architecture.
- 15+ years of experience as a project engineer, project manager, or construction administration representative for a major design, construction, or program management firm.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
- Superior collaboration skills and a client-service mindset.
- Proficiency with MS 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and common construction/project tools such as Procore and MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality work products on time.
- Experience supporting procurement (RFPs), budget/schedule management, and closeout activities.
- Ability to work effectively on the road and in fast-paced jobsite environments; flexibility for non-traditional hours as needed.
