Full Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead and provide oversight on the organization's most important initiatives. This is a senior, cross-functional role that sits close to leadership - part strategic partner, part operator - responsible for turning priorities into plans and plans into results. You will work across teams and functions to drive execution, remove roadblocks, hold work to a high standard, and make sure the initiatives that matter most get done on time and with impact. If you thrive on ownership, ambiguity, and being the person who makes things happen, this role is for you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and provide oversight on major, cross-functional initiatives across the organization, ensuring strong execution and measurable results from kickoff through delivery.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership - translating high-level priorities into clear plans, owners, milestones, and success metrics, and keeping everyone aligned and accountable.
  • Drive day-to-day execution across teams, proactively identifying risks and dependencies, removing roadblocks, and keeping initiatives on schedule and on budget.
  • Establish and maintain the cadence of the business - running planning sessions, status reviews, and executive updates that keep leadership informed and initiatives on track.
  • Build clear, decision-ready reporting and dashboards that give leadership visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes across the initiative portfolio.
  • Coordinate and align stakeholders across departments - engineering, risk management, operations, technology, business development, and external partners - to ensure the right people are engaged at the right time.
  • Own communication and follow-through on key decisions, ensuring action items are documented, assigned, and completed.
  • Continuously improve how the organization plans, prioritizes, and executes, bringing structure and discipline to complex, fast-moving efforts without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Step in as needed to lead special projects and high-priority efforts on behalf of leadership, operating with sound judgment and discretion.

What you'll bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, program management, chief of staff, strategy and operations, management consulting, or a similar role leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • A proven track record of driving execution and delivering results across multiple simultaneous initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align people across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Sound business judgment and the ability to operate with discretion, ownership, and a bias toward action.
  • Experience in the deregulated energy industry (procurement, supply, retail energy, commodity markets, sustainability, or a related field) is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with modern project management, collaboration, and reporting tools, and comfort using AI tools and other technologies to improve workflows and deliverables.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus but not required.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to contribute to 5's high-performing culture.
