YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
The Senior Project Controls Engineer is a highly skilled technical leader within Rosendin’s internal Project Controls Group (PCG). This role supports and mentors Project Controls Engineers and Data Specialists while partnering closely with Project Controls Leads to ensure project controls excellence across the enterprise. The Senior Engineer leads complex audits, drives standardization efforts, and contributes to the development of tools and processes that enhance project startup readiness and execution consistency.
This role is designed for professionals with advanced competencies who operate with moderate supervision and gradually increase their autonomy. The focus is on leadership in technical execution, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:Lead the development and validation of WBS and task code structures for complex or high-risk projects.
Guide and mentor Project Controls Engineers and Data Specialists in project setup, auditing, and reporting practices.
Conduct advanced audits of project setup and baseline documentation to ensure alignment with PCG protocols and enterprise standards.
Collaborate with PCMs and RPCMs to implement best practices and drive consistency across regions and business units.
Provide technical leadership during project startup phases, including readiness planning, scope alignment, and controls integration.
Identify systemic issues in project controls processes and recommend improvements to templates, workflows, and tools.
Represent the PCG in cross-departmental initiatives and enterprise-level planning efforts.
Maintain thorough documentation of findings, recommendations, and support activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical field.
5-7 years of experience in project controls or project engineering roles within construction, with demonstrated leadership in technical execution.
Expert-level understanding of WBS design, planning principles, and project controls systems.
Proven ability to lead audits, mentor junior staff, and influence cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Proficient in Excel, Smartsheet, Power BI, and enterprise project coordination platforms.

Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
Noise level is usually low to medium.
