Senior Program Manager - JLL

What this job involves - JLL's Public Institutions group is seeking a Senior Program Manager to serve as a senior team leader on our advisory engagement supporting the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Housing (ODASD(H)). This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at the center of one of the federal government's most complex real estate programs - the Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI), a $32 billion portfolio spanning 87 active projects across 150 military installations nationwide. Reporting directly to the SVP / Account Director, you will serve as deputy program manager / account director - owning team performance, deliverable quality, and day-to-day program operations. Our work reaches the most senior levels of DOD leadership, and the precision and polish of every product we deliver reflects that standard.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior and mid-level analysts, ensuring consistent quality, professional development, and accountability
  • Serve as the primary QA/QC lead, reviewing all major deliverables before they reach the client - briefings, memoranda, reports, and presentations tailored for senior level DOD leadership, and Congressional audiences
  • Anticipate client needs, complete analysis proactively, and bring forward recommendations without being asked
  • Participate directly in senior-level client meetings and represent JLL in high-stakes engagements with DOD and interagency stakeholders
  • Provide subject matter expertise across real estate finance, federal program management, and/or policy analysis
  • Keep DOD leadership and stakeholders informed of relevant developments and program status
  • Support business development activities including RFP responses and new initiative identification
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture aligned with JLL's values


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (business, finance, public policy, real estate, or related field); advanced degree a plus
  • 8+ years of professional experience in federal advisory services, real estate finance, program management, DOD/defense housing, or a related field; exceptional candidates with fewer years and a demonstrated track record will be considered
  • Experience advising senior government clients, with the ability to communicate clearly and credibly to executive-level audiences
  • Strong written communication skills - you understand what "client-ready" means and hold yourself and your team to that standard
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver under pressure
  • US citizenship required
  • Active DOD Secret clearance required (or ability to obtain)
  • Availability for hybrid schedule across Washington, DC (2020 K Street NW), the Pentagon, and remote


Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification from a recognized institution

Estimated compensation for this position:

120,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
