Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program or project management.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience in an engineering or program management role involving multi-disciplinary fields such as network, fiber, electrical, or mechanical (cooling).
  • Experience working on defining and designing data center infrastructure.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking and prioritization abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a data-driven problem-solving approach to solving complex challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with network architects and deployment engineers to ultimately translate physical demands of the network (space, power, fiber) to requirements of building designs.
  • Work closely with design engineering firms, construction contractors, and other partner teams to develop solutions that can be deployed to support Google's global network.
  • Present to executive leadership design and cost options to solve problems of the Google network.
  • Guide complex programs reaching beyond your immediate organization.
  • Work with vendors (e.g., racks, rack pdus, network equipment vendors, power/cooling vendors) to define how they develop new products to ensure they are deployable for Google globally.
