Job Description

Acumatica is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Reporting & Analytics to lead the strategy and evolution of reporting, analytics, and data access capabilities across the Acumatica ERP platform.

This is a high-impact, horizontal platform role responsible for owning the roadmap for core reporting technologies including Generic Inquiry (GI), Reports, Analytical Report Manager (ARM), Dashboards, and Pivot tables, as well as emerging capabilities such as data warehouse integrations and scalable reporting architecture.

The role requires close collaboration with engineering teams to modernize Acumatica's reporting stack and deliver scalable, self-service analytics capabilities that allow customers and partners to efficiently analyze ERP data.

Product Strategy & Roadmap
  1. Define and drive the strategy for Acumatica's reporting and analytics platform, evolving capabilities from tool-based reporting toward a unified, modern analytics experience.
  2. Own the roadmap for reporting technologies including:

• Generic Inquiry (GI)
• Reports
• Analytical Report Manager (ARM)
• Dashboards and Pivot tables
• Reporting data access technologies (OData, APIs)
• Reporting databases and data warehouse integrations

3. Identify opportunities to improve reporting usability, performance, scalability, and adaptability - especially for customers with large transactional datasets.

Product Planning & Delivery
  1. Work closely with engineering to define product requirements, functional specifications, and development plans.
  2. Translate customer and partner feedback into product improvements and new capabilities.
  3. Lead the delivery of reporting enhancements across the product lifecycle, including planning, development coordination, and release readiness.
  4. Drive initiatives to modernize reporting technologies, including:

• Converging reporting engines
• Expanding self-service reporting and analytics capabilities
• Improving dashboarding and data visualization
• Enabling scalable reporting architectures

Cross-Team Collaboration
  1. Collaborate closely with engineering, UX, support, and partner teams to ensure reporting capabilities meet real-world ERP scenarios.
  2. Partner with vertical application Product Managers (Financials, Distribution, Manufacturing, Construction, etc.) to:

• Define and prioritize domain-specific reporting requirements and KPIs
• Ensure availability of high-quality, well-structured data models to support reporting
• Deliver out-of-the-box reports, dashboards, and analytical insights aligned with each vertical
• Enable consistent reporting patterns and reusable components across modules

3. Work with partners, ISVs, and internal teams to ensure reporting tools support implementation, customization, and extensibility needs.

4. Ensure alignment between the reporting platform roadmap and vertical product strategies, balancing platform consistency with domain-specific requirements.

Customer Success & Expertise
  1. Act as the subject matter expert for Acumatica reporting technologies.
  2. Engage directly with customers and partners to understand reporting requirements, common implementation scenarios, and real-world analytics challenges.
  3. Assist support and implementation teams with complex reporting use cases and escalations.
  • Contribute to product documentation, training materials, and knowledge sharing related to reporting capabilities.


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience in ERP, business applications, or analytics platforms.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, etc.
  • Experience with ERP reporting, analytics, or BI platforms, including technologies such as:

• SQL and relational databases
• Data modeling and semantic layers
• Business intelligence tools
• Financial reporting systems
• Data warehouses
  • A strong understanding of the challenges of reporting on large transactional ERP datasets.
  • Comfort working with technical teams on query engines, data architecture, and reporting frameworks.
  • A track record of engaging with customers and partners to understand real-world reporting and analytics needs.
  • A strong balance of technical depth and business insights.
  • High organizational ability to drive complex initiatives across multiple teams.
  • Strong communication skills - able to translate complex technical concepts into clear product direction.
