Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and strategic AI/ML Senior Product Manager to join theDiscovery Product Management team, responsible for how millions of Nordstrom customers  search, browse, navigate, and find products and brands they love at Nordstrom.

This is a senior role on a team operating at the frontier of AI in commerce. You'll work across Engineering, Data Science, and Design to deliver industry-leading solutions, lead through ambiguity, influence across the organization, and raise the bar for the product managers around you.

A Day in the Life...

Product strategy and roadmap: Define and drive the roadmap for AI/ML-powered discovery experiences, aligning business goals with Nordstrom's broader digital product strategy. Decide where to invest to help customers find what they want faster, and what they'll love before they know to ask for it. 

AI-native discovery: Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, and Data Science to craft delightful experiences at the intersection of user experience, ML, and AI.

Customerinsights: Partner with UX research, analytics, and merchandising to understand shopper intent and behavior. Translate that insight into discovery experiences that serves both the customer and the business.

Experimentation and measurement: Design, run, and read A/B tests, and use the results to drive investment decisions across your portfolio. Bring rigor to how we measure AI-driven experiences, where the right signals aren't always obvious.

Product execution and delivery: Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements for AI/ML discovery features and improvements. Own launch plans including UAT, communication, change management, and post-launch validation, and drive day-to-day progress with engineering through backlog management, agile ceremonies, and release planning.

You Own This If You Have…

  • 5-8 years of product management experiencewith demonstrated progression of scope and impact 

  • Track record in AI/ML products leading search, recommendations, or other AI/ML-powered products ideally at scale, for consumer products (e-commerce a plus).

  • Technical fluency: strong understanding of AI/ML product development and ability to credibly partner with engineers and data scientists.

  • Strong fluency with experimentation and analyticsto drive product decisions.

  • Excellence at working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing at senior levels through clear, persuasive communication.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and set direction across teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience  


Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. 
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$142,000.00 - $220,500.00 Annual
