Qualifications

  • Completion of a five-year electrical apprenticeship program and a minimum of 10 years journey-level experience, or a State Master Electrician license with 5 years experience at that level.
  • Journey/master level electrical construction/maintenance experience in heavy industrial settings, covering 120V-480V systems and familiarity with high voltage systems (480-21,000 volts).
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and relevant electrical standards.
  • Experience with SCADA systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Inspect electrical, mechanical/HVAC, and site civil work.
  • Monitor, record, and report on construction project progress.
  • Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete tests and soil compaction testing.
  • Receive supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews ongoing work.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Full Job Description
In the role of Senior Power Construction Inspector, we'll count on you to:

  • Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for buildings and facilities
  • Conduct inspection of electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil
  • Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects
  • Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders and performing in-place soil compaction testing
  • Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress
  • Perform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school or Associate degree
  • Some demonstrated experience in construction inspection
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules

  • Completion of a recognized five-year electrical apprenticeship program and submission of an apprenticeship certificate, and a minimum of 10 years journey level experience, or possession of a State Master Electrician license and 5 years experience at that level,
  • Sufficient journey/master level electrical construction and/or maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment, with emphasis on work on 120V-480V systems and familiarity with high voltage( 480- 21,000 volts) systems
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and other appropriate electrical standards and specifications
  • Experience with supervisor control and data acquisition systems (SCADA)
  • Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
