Responsibilities

Position Summary

Oath, Inc. is seeking an experienced, contracts-focused Senior Paralegal to partner with our General Counsel in managing day-to-day contract drafting, redlining, and document administration. This role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and requires high autonomy: knowing how to keep deals moving independently while escalating only critical legal risks. You will play a pivotal role in helping our business scale quickly and confidently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct first-pass redlines on incoming contracts and agreements
  • Manage contract administration, including tracking, filing, and organizing executed agreements
  • Support general legal document administration and recordkeeping
  • Maintain and update contract templates and playbooks as needed
  • Track key contract dates, obligations, and renewals
  • Flag substantive legal issues or risks to the General Counsel in a timely manner
  • Manage day-to-day legal department workflows with minimal oversight
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (business, finance, sales) to keep contracts moving efficiently
  • Assist with ad hoc legal projects as they arise
Qualifications
Required
  • Significant experience as a contracts-focused paralegal (transactional, not litigation)
  • Demonstrated ability to draft and redline commercial contracts independently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
  • Sound judgment in distinguishing substantive legal issues from routine matters
Preferred
  • Prior in-house experience, ideally at a startup
  • Experience building or maintaining contract templates/playbooks
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Excel, Slack, and similar tools is a plus

Location: Remote with some travel to in person meetings out of our office in the Presidio in San Francisco

Compensation: $145,000 - $180,000
