Full Job Description
The Position:

This position is awaiting contract award.

We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Operations Manager designated as Key Personnelto direct contract performance and operational execution for the H-53 variants program at NAS Patuxent River.

In this high-visibility leadership role, you will serve as the principal administrator and overall authority for the contracted effort.

You will act as the primary interface to Government authorities, driving technical excellence, optimal resource allocation, and strategic risk management to support critical heavy-lift naval aviation platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the entire contracted effort, ensuring all contract deliverables strictly meet corporate and government performance standards.
  • Serve as the principal point of contact and liaison to Government program authorities on all high-level technical, program, and project management challenges.
  • Direct, evaluate, and monitor contractor execution of all performance metrics, Statement of Work (SOW) requirements, and operational milestones.
  • Manage the strategic acquisition, allocation, and employment of program/project resources, including personnel staffing, budgeting, and asset deployment.
  • Proactively identify project risks, implement robust mitigation strategies, and establish streamlined operational workflows to maintain schedule and technical integrity.


Qualifications:

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
  • Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Science (MS) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in defense program management, military operations, or contract administration performing the functional duties described above.
  • Exceptional executive leadership capabilities, advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills, and the elite communication presence required to brief senior military and civilian stakeholders.


Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of direct experience managing and overseeing the day-to-day program execution of contract support services specifically within NAVAIR Program Offices (PMAs).
