Role Overview:We are seeking a Lead Backend Architect with 12+ years of experience to lead the design and implementation of scalable, cloud-native backend platforms for Lounge Services. This role requires deep expertise in Node.js, distributed systems, and the integration of AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable cloud-native backend platforms.
- Develop high-performance microservices and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript on AWS/GCP.
- Define architecture standards for event-driven solutions, messaging, and distributed systems.
- Drive the adoption of AI by integrating LLMs and Agentic AI into enterprise backend services.
- Design reusable AI platform components, including RAG pipelines, model gateways, and AI observability.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct architecture reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Security, and Enterprise Architecture teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.
Required Skills:- 12+ years of experience in designing enterprise-scale, cloud-native backend systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of Python and Go.
- Extensive experience with microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong expertise in AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with distributed messaging (Kafka) and asynchronous processing.
- Mandatory experience integrating LLMs and Agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel).
- Experience building RAG pipelines and AI orchestration workflows.
- Understanding of PyTorch, Hugging Face, and AI governance practices.
Qualifications:- 12+ years of professional experience in backend architecture.
- Proven track record in technical leadership and stakeholder management.
Preferred Skills:- Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with model evaluation and safety practices.
