Your OpportunityWe are seeking a versatile data professional to support our data platform built on Microsoft Fabric. This net new role will contribute to data ingestion, modeling, and reporting efforts using Fabric's data engineering and Power BI
capabilities. This is a foundational role as we implement our first data lake and begin integrating sources such as SQL servers, Oracle databases, FTP folders, APIs, and streaming data.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and maintain pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Dataflows, Pipelines, Notebooks)
- Model data for usability in Power BI datasets and semantic models
- Work with stakeholders to support proof-of-concept dashboards and reports
- Monitor and troubleshoot ingestion jobs and data refreshes
- Develop documentation and repeatable workflows
- Collaborate with external consultants and internal teams
Qualifications: - 3+ years working in a heavily regulated industry/financial services industry
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or BI development
- Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric (or Azure Synapse/Power BI + Lakehouse stack)
- Proficient in T-SQL, DAX, and Python (for Notebooks)
- Experience with dimensional modeling and self-serve BI enablement
- Familiarity with Power BI deployment, datasets, and performance tuning
- Strong problem-solving skills across data ingestion, transformation, and visualization
Nice to Have: - Exposure to systems like SQL server, Oracle databases, FTP folders, and API integrations
- Experience integrating REST APIs or structured file sources
- Understanding of RBAC and workspace management in Microsoft Fabric
- Previous experience in real estate, property management, or digital marketing analytics
The expected range of compensation for this role is $84,000 to $128,000. This job posting is a pipelining exercise for upcoming engagements.
