Job Details:

A Mechanical Analyst applies in-depth professional knowledge and company objectives to tackle complex engineering challenges. The role handles projects or assignments requiring advanced technical evaluations, often determining methods and procedures for new work. The position leverages cross-disciplinary insights and exercises judgment in adapting or developing sophisticated techniques. The role networks with key contacts outside the immediate area of expertise, frequently advising others on complex mechanical issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze the mechanical performance and survivability of unique electrical components under fabrication and usage conditions and ensure producibility.
  • Perform FEA Analysis of parts, including shock, vibration, temperature cycling, power handling, and structural.
  • Formulate comprehensive testing protocols for mechanical and environmental testing, interpreting results to guide improvements.
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations outlining performance
  • Direct and participate in iterative design processes, incorporating feedback from a variety of sources and disciplines.
  • Advise on and recommend manufacturing changes to reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Complete mechanical designs and drawings for assembly, test, and fabrication fixtures.
  • Design assembly flows and processes to meet customer requirements with input from manufacturing.
  • Provides required support for international standards of operations (AS9100) compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 5 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience with ANSYS Mechanical FEA simulation tools and SOLIDWORKS 3-D CAD.
  • Proven track record of successfully evaluating complex data and selecting methods to achieve results.
  • Must be eligible for DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in microfabrication, RF electronics, or electronics assembly in the defense/Satcom area.
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering topics.
  • Experience with environmental test lab equipment and test planning (temp cycling, shock and vibe, etc.)


Cubic Pay Range:
$127,000.00 - $147,000.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
