WABCO Compressor Manufacturing Co. has job openings (multiple) for the position of Sr. Manufacturing Engineer based out of its location in North Charleston, SC.

Job Duties: Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all EHS policies and procedures are sustained; Ensure conformance to IATF 16949 quality management standards is sustained; Maintain process procedures and
documentation through creating/maintaining work instructions, process flow diagrams, control plans; Support and implement lean manufacturing principles on and around assembly line; Lead actions to improve OEE, reduce cycle times, increase automation, and achieve conversion costs reduction projects. This includes performing time studies, performing line balancing, and standardizing work; Handle product changes, which are relevant to the assembly line and document the product and process changes; Design new fixtures for assembly and testing and updating the drawings in PLM; Develop program, tooling, and fixture standards to prove new variant/process improvements. Up to 5% travel to domestic locations. Travel required for supplier visits, customer issues, training, visiting other ZF sites.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or closely related field plus 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained and demonstrated experience with: The automotive industry; Engineering techniques, principles, procedures; Leading technical projects (cycle time reduction, Head count reduction, process improvements); Manufacturing environments (i.e. Single Piece Flow); LEAN principles; Reading blueprints and GD&T concepts; Statistical control methods and continuous improvement; Problem-solving tools ( including trial and error, Ishikawa diagram, 5-Why, and Is-Is not); FMEA and control plans; CAD skills (including Creo, 3D model dimensions and print creation); SAP (creating and viewing BOM and cost centers); and PLC Basics.
