What is the opportunity?

Senior Manager, Workforce Transition and Optimization to lead transformational HR initiatives across our organization. You will manage a portfolio of strategic workforce programs, serve as a trusted advisor to HR leadership and business stakeholders, and drive successful delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives that reshape our workforce capabilities. You will navigate organizational complexity and ambiguity with confidence, translating strategic priorities into actionable program plans. You are expected to think and act with a global mindset, considering how workforce transformation strengthens RBC's market position.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Integration & Execution Oversight
  • Influence across matrixed teams without direct authority, building consensus and driving alignment toward common objectives.
  • Connect disparate initiatives and insights to create cohesive, integrated solutions that serve the whole bank.
  • Good awareness of business uniqueness and understand business needs and meeting them where they are, translate what needs to be executed.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, establish clear processes, deadlines, and accountability structures.
  • Manage all aspects of project execution including scope definition, resource allocation, budget oversight, and benefits realization.
  • Ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and completion of agreed project goals.
  • Set high expectations, hold yourself and others accountable, and don't let complexity dilute the message.


Cross-Functional Relationship Building
  • Build trusting relationships across HR, business units, and external partners that serve as the foundation for program success.
  • Bridge organizational silos, fostering collaboration and breaking down barriers to execution.
  • Drive alignment of goals, execute objectives and manage expectations while enabling transparency to decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups.


Global mindset
  • Work across teams in various RBC geographic locations and bringing the right people together and clearing the path for execution.


Problem-Solving & Blocker Removal
  • Identify obstacles early and proactively remove roadblocks that impede program delivery.
  • Address root causes of issues rather than symptoms, with a track record of solving complex, multifaceted problems.

Solution Design & Implementation
  • Connect dots across data, insights, and stakeholder input to identify opportunities that strengthen our market position.
  • Design and implement proactive solutions that drive program outcomes and create measurable value.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end delivery, demonstrating a bias for action and follow-through.
  • Challenge perspectives to surface blind spots and uncover solutions that sharpen our competitive edge.

What You Need to Succeed

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of proven experience leading large, complex cross-functional program delivery, with demonstrated success driving change, team collaboration, and organizational alignment.
  • Knowledge of HR operating model and execution approaches.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to navigate ambiguity, think systemically, and influence without direct authority.
  • Proven problem-solver with track record of identifying root causes, removing obstacles, mitigating risk and navigating enterprise complexity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities with experience delivering presentations and facilitating inclusive discussions with senior-level audiences.
  • Data-savvy mindset with ability to interpret analytics, identify meaningful patterns, and use insights to drive program outcomes and business decisions.
  • Demonstrated integrity and commitment to doing what's right, even when it's hard; accountability for long-term performance and reputation.
  • Proficiency in group facilitation best practices, including ability to design processes, elicit contributions, stimulate focused discussion, and achieve desired outcomes, need to own and build solutions and implementation.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience managing transformational programs at large financial services organizations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified.
  • Proficiency with data visualization and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Global mindset with demonstrated ability to seek diverse ideas and uncover opportunities across industries and geographies.
