Job DescriptionSr Manager Value and Access Insights
Duties: Partner with account Marketing, Market access and Pricing/Contracting to provide insights around various therapeutic areas like Migraine, Cardiovascular diseases, and Oncology within US healthcare system. Manage a 2–3-member team to deliver actionable insights for the Market access teams as well as the cross-brand initiatives. Responsible for generating, evaluating, and presenting insights and analytics to inform commercial growth opportunities and tactics relating to all aspects of market access. Oversee development of analytical resources for value and access team for Amgen’s Portfolio of existing, launch and pipeline drugs in US healthcare. Assess current data sets and data model to identify and introduce better GTN transparency and analytics. Oversee development of analytical resources for value and access team for Amgen’s Portfolio of existing, launch and pipeline drugs in US healthcare. Oversee efforts of 1-2 staff members, including setting performance standards, managing their staffing, and monitoring performance. Create data analytics models to generate strategic actionable business insights. Produce and deliver regular performance dashboards based on complex data sources. Provide analytics support to field-based market access teams. May telecommute. Supervisory duties.
Requirements: Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Management of Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in an analytics-related occupation. Position requires 3 years of experience in the following:
1. Performing Gross-To-Net-based pre-deal contracting analytics for payer and provider segments, including modeling financial impacts through share-shift and NCR strategies using Excel and Anaplan;
2. Developing Gross-To-Net forecasting models, including Average Sales Price, Average Manufacturer Price and Best Price related impact analyses using Anaplan-based models;
3. Analyzing rebates invoice data, IQVIA payer-level claims data, and invoice discrepancies to measure payer performance and support formulary validation;
4. Analyzing chargeback data, IQVIA DDD, and provider reimbursement data to assess contract performance and support Provider contracting and NCR optimization;
5. Building supervised and unsupervised predictive models using Python to create price elasticity predictors that help identify provider sensitivity for provider contracting strategies;
6. Conducting analytics using IQVIA LAAD, medical claims, and Managed Markets Insight & Technology datasets to evaluate payer coverage, formulary changes, and utilization trends by brand and payer;
7. Conducting 340B analytics and provider economics assessments, including purchasing behavior, reimbursement patterns, and site-of-care dynamics;
8. Perform patient-level analytics to assess initiation, adherence, abandonment, out-of-pocket exposure, and affordability barriers using IQVIA claims and patient support program data through Copay and Hub data;
9. Building dashboards and automated reporting using Power BI and Tableau to synthesize Gross-To-Net, payer, provider insights that support contracting, pricing, payer marketing, market access, and cross-functional commercial strategy across brands and therapeutic areas;
10. Developing algorithms to optimize copay program benefit design and to identify accumulator and maximizer trends using Python and SQL to identify patients at financial risk; and
11. Utilizing Anaplan, SQL, Python, R, SAS, Microsoft Excel (advanced modeling), and Visual Basic for Applications to conduct statistical analysis, operational modeling, and forecasting to support pricing, access, and Gross-To-Net decision-making.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
