Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing

As a Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing, you will collaborate and lead significant components of 3Ms global transfer pricing program. This role will provide leadership to manage transfer pricing initiatives as well as operate as a strategic partner with stakeholders globally within and outside of Tax.Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Leading the development and interpretation of 3Ms transfer pricing policies
  • Provide technical leadership to evaluate/lead transfer pricing implications of business changes
  • Ensuring alignment between transfer pricing policies, intercompany agreements, and operational activities
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for transfer pricing technical expertise within certain assigned areas
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing tax and transfer pricing team members and contributing to overall team capability building
  • Supporting internal controls, governance processes, and financial statement disclosures related to transfer pricing and CountrybyCountry Reporting

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Tax,

    (completed and verified prior to start).

  • Ten (10) years of experience in transfer pricing within a multinational corporation, or accounting firm in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, JD) and/or professional certification (CPA, EA).
  • Prior experience in a large, matrixed, global organization.
  • Strong technical knowledge of US Treasury Regulations 1.482, the Transfer Pricing Guidelines from the OECD and international tax principles
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multicountry projects and engage effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrates strong judgment, accountability, and ownership of outcomes
  • Operates comfortably in complexity and ambiguity, balancing technical rigor with business practicality
  • Builds trust through collaboration, clear communication, and consistent execution

Work location:

  • Work location: This rolefollows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN OR, Washington, DC, OR Austin, TX.

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
